Providing stability and resources for families in South Florida, our staff brings a wide range of experience, deep knowledge of economic and political development, celebrity and popular campaigns for organizational growth in order to influence South Florida’s youth. Catch 81 Foundation's Board of Directors is a diverse and skilled group responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the Foundation. Its members work closely with staff in all areas of the charity, they help carry the Catch 81 message to new and wide-ranging audiences to enhance the organization’s profile, resources, and effectiveness.

Management Team

O.J. McDuffie

Co-Founder & Board Chairman

O.J. McDuffie is a former first-team All-American who graduated from Penn State University in 1992. He was then drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the first round where his entire nine-year career began and flourished. “Juice” quickly became Dan Marino’s favorite target and broke multiple receiving records, including leading the NFL in receptions in 1998. O.J. earned the team MVP Honors in 1997 and 1998. In December of 2013, O.J. was inducted into the Miami Dolphins Walk of Fame. His commitment and passion to the South Florida community didn't end with his contributions on the field. Prior to his retirement in 2001, O.J. contributed much of his time to various charitable causes and continues his dedication to help the area’s youth through his work with the Catch 81 Foundation.

Lara Sahakian

Co-Founder & President

Lara Sahakian is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, Smeal College of Business with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and a Minor in Business Law. Upon graduation, Ms. Sahakian began her career in the financial industry as a trader on the Nasdaq trading floor. She served as Nasdaq Market Maker, specializing in a list of over 300 public companies. She has over 17 years of trading and investing experience in the financial and real estate industries. She currently serves as President and CEO of an international concierge company, Elite Global Access, LLC. In addition to her professional career, Ms. Sahakian is heavily involved in the philanthropic arena. She has been involved with several charities and fundraising initiatives. She is a Co-Founder and currently serves as Board President of the O.J. McDuffie Catch 81 Foundation.

Johnny Williams Jr.

Legal Counsel & Governance

Johnny Williams Jr. has more than 15 years of marketing and management experience, specializing in the implementation and management of integrated marketing programs and ProMotions. Williams’ extensive industry experience began with positions with the Don Shula Foundation, the Super Bowl XXIX Host Committee, and the PGA Tour. He leverages his knowledge and understanding of the sports & entertainment industry to strategically align athletes and performers with corporate America to enhance their marketing investments and develops strategic integrated marketing programs that assist companies in accomplishing their stated marketing objectives.

Williams has proven successful in managing comprehensive complex projects for Pro Series, ISC (PSI), a special event marketing firm in Fort Lauderdale, Fl where he structured major contracts that delivered multi-million dollar ROI for PSI’s corporate partners. He has cultivated his skills by teaming local intergovernmental agencies and corporate sponsors and aligning their objectives into cohesive synergistic integrated marketing campaigns. He was an asset to Pro Series’ organizational structure, managing the team that produced the annual McDonalds® Air & Sea Show® and Fleet Week USA® presented by McDonald’s for more than a decade. He is seasoned in the areas of marketing & endorsement, corporate special event operations, sponsorship research, and solicitation, and contracting.

Williams has been recognized by Success South Florida Magazine as being one of South Florida’s most successful African American businessmen under 40 and in the inaugural edition of Who’s Who in Black South Florida. Williams is a former adjunct professor at St. Thomas University where he taught Legal Aspects of Sports Administration. He has given back to the community through his work as a Guardian Ad Litem, mentoring students and sits on the Executive Board of the Winterfest Boat Parade, SOS Children’s Foundation and the Twan Russel Life Skills and Reading Foundation. Williams also serves as General Counsel for the O.J. McDuffie Catch 81 Foundation.

Michael Kublin

Board Member

Michael Kublin is the founder and President of PeopleTek, a coaching and leadership development company credited with helping individuals and businesses attain desired results and build successful careers. Michael is dedicated to transitioning business professionals into successful leaders; his programs and coaches enhance skills required by leaders to be more confident and secure in their positions. Prior to PeopleTek, Michael worked for Electronic Data Systems and American Express in information management leadership positions. Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and received his Master's Degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. He is also involved with the Society for Human Resource Management, the International Coaching Federation and is on the board of Directors for the Medivan Health and Community Services Organization.

Adina Safta

Board Member

Adina Safta is Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager at PNC Bank in North Carolina. Adina has been in banking since 2006 where she has held multiple roles within the Retail and Business Banking business. Throughout her banking career, she has had the opportunity to open PNC Bank’s first Net Zero Branch in Fort Lauderdale, FL where she was part of building awareness of being environmentally conscious within the community

In addition, Adina has served as Chair of the Fort Lauderdale; B.E.S.T. (Broward’s Elite Serving Tomorrow) Young Professional’s Committee of the Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce in 2014 and has since continued her leadership as part of the Chapel Hill, NC Chamber. In 2013, Adina was honored with the Young Professional Award for the Fort Lauderdale Chamber Women’s Circle of Excellence.

In her involvement in the community, Adina began volunteering at the local schools as well as the O.J. McDuffie Catch 81 Foundation and other non-profit organizations and charities in South Florida. Although Adina does not have children to call her own, every day spent with the children in the community where she can make a difference is uplifting and worth all the hard work and commitment.

Meghan Guardiani

Board Secretary

Meghan Guardiani is a graduate of Elmira College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. After graduation, Meghan began her career in the retail industry utilizing her management and organizational skills to help open multiple big-box retail stores up and down the east coast. Throughout those 8 years, Meghan gained an understanding of the communities she was moving to by volunteering for local charities.

Meghan currently serves as a Contact Center Manager for Grainger Industrial Supply in Pompano Beach, FL. In addition to her professional careers, Meghan is heavily involved in the Catch 81 Foundation and other local children’s charities. Since 2007 Meghan has been volunteering at Catch 81 Foundation events and helping to increase fundraising opportunities.
